Vogelzang + Strategy + Group started out of a desire to help and a recognition that both non-profits and for-profits aren't so different when it comes to the importance of a good story.
Emily's experience in the non-profit, for-profit and social enterprise sectors offer VSG's clients a unique combination of relational cultivation, marketing, business design and story telling that informs how she leads and plans as a strategist.
Her previous experience includes starting companies, creating marketing plans, PR, fundraising, non-profit development, strategic planning, and social enterprise. She has worked in the for-profit, non-profit and social Enterprise space. Her for-profit industry experience includes consumer goods (Levi's), event creation ({pre} / HUB), social entrepreneurship, technology and financial marketing. Her work in non-profit development includes fundraising and major gifts experience for innovation incubators (Workshop 17 - Cape Town), anti-trafficking (IJM/Restore) and children exploitation (Many Hopes), global aid (British Red Cross), church planting and urban renewal (City to City).
She received her B.A. in Psychology with focus on Behavioral Economics/Decision Making from Princeton University and her M.B.A. from Oxford University, UK.
